📐 How to Measure
Width
Inside the window opening, measure from left to right at the top, middle, and bottom of the opening. Write down all 3 measurements and circle the narrowest. If rounding is necessary, round down to the nearest 1/16". That is your ordering width.
Height
Inside the window opening, measure from the top of the opening to the bottom sill on the left side, center, and right side. Write down all 3 measurements and circle the smallest. If rounding is necessary, round down to the nearest 1/16". That is your ordering height.
Note
You are ordering the exact window opening size, not the size of the shutter. The factory will make a deduction to your width or height to ensure your shutter fits the opening.
Large Sliding Windows (≈88" width and wider)
Windows that open left and right to center will require left and right post measurements so that your shutter doors align with the window openings. Measure from the left side of the inside mount frame to the first white window handle of the left window (where there is no glass) — that is your Left Post Measurement. Then measure from the left side of the inside mount frame all the way to the second post (the right window's white handle where there is no glass) — that is your Right Post Measurement. If your Left Post Measurement is noticeably shorter than your Right Post Measurement, you measured correctly.
